MyBlogLog Community Exchange

mybloglogWhile normally being razor focused on the topics of affiliate programs and internet scams, I am very aware that many readers of this blog have blogs of their own and (like all of us) are looking to increase traffic and readership. Blog memes can be a great way to do this and I have personally experienced great leaps in traffic and exposure after participating in a select few blog memes.

Garryconn who as well as assisting with this sites shiny new look, guest blogging here and making great progress himself online has come with the idea of the MyBloglog community Exchange. It has all the same benefits as other blog memes such as increased backlinks and Technorati ranking, only this time the added bonus of growing our MyblogLog communities. This will in turn bring more traffic and readership to all the sites involved!

There is some controversy surrounding this sort of blog meme, for example Dosh Dosh’s Technorati Favourites Exchange directly manipulated the Technorati top 100 list. However, I fully supported this because of its useful experimental nature. Of course the MyBloglog community exchange is not completely innocent of ‘rank skewing’ but MyBloglog is one of the few sites holding out against the ‘rank-o-holics’ (mmmmm rank-o-hol)

The exchange only started yesterday and has already taken off like wildfire. Don’t miss this opportunity!

The rules are simple:

1. Join all of the MyBlogLog communities on the list below.

2. Copy the list and create a new post on your blog and paste the list onto your post.

3. Write a brief paragraph that explains what the game is above the list (just as I have done here).

4. Add 2 or 3 more MyBlogLog communities to the list and then publish the post.

5. If you want to be added to this list, simply drop me a comment below

  • As you can see this blog has a new theme and header. I am changing everything to make it better! I am battling to have the changes all finished by no later than the end of tomorrow, when normal posts will resume. I got a lot advice from Kumiko’s review and her readers, nothing is going unchecked!

  • Welcome Kumiko Lovers!

If you just arrived here from Kumiko’s review of this site I hope you are in a nice critical mindset; that way your bursting creativity and ideas (is sucking up really that bad?) can find their way to the comments section.

Using the advice from Kumiko and your own thoughts this site is going to have a complete makeover!

    Earnings
Once payment has arrived (which should be very soon!) I will reveal my earnings from my recommended affiliate programs with proof of payment included! (too many explanation marks in one paragraph… oh well it’s a special occasion!!!).

    Scam or not Requests
The most requests are for me to review PTR sites, most of which turn out to be Internet scams. I am more than happy to keep reviewing these, but if you know of a top paying affiliate program just ask me to review it and I will dive right in! It would be great to extend the recommended affiliate programs list, at the moment its pretty short (unlike it’s owner… ). You can use the contact form to make a review request.

If your not from Kumiko’s Cash Quest then head on over there now to see what all the fuss is about!

  • Scam of the Month Competition!

I am proud to unveil a brand new way to put Internet money making scams in the spotlight and show them up for what they really are. At the end of May I will have a good mulling over of all the Internet scams I have reviewed. The one that is the most ridiculous, or that seems to have made the most victims will be the winner.

    What Will the Winner Get?
    - A post ‘congratulating’ them as being the Scam of the month.
    - The post will remind us why why are such a huge scam.
    - A Custom made banner which will read ” …..This site……. is the Scam of the Month!!” / “…..This site….. has been found Guilty of Scamming!” (Or something to that effect).
    - Everyone will be able to copy the banner them selves and use it to warn others about the scam site. You could even make a blog post about it.
    - A new list in the Sidebar will be created. Each month a new winner will be added.

This will make even the veteran internet money making scammers quiver in their boots. When things really ‘hot up’ there may end up being a Scam of the Week, there’s not escaping it!

In the next Scam of the Month I am planning to have you the readers to vote on which internet scam should be Scam of the Month, but I will chose the winner this time (just to get the ball rolling).

The site in my next review may end up being the Scam of the Month. Stay Tuned!.

  • Keep the Review Requests Coming in!

Despite being previously overwhelmed in review requests, there has been somewhat of a lull this week. This has given me the refreshing chance to make a series of updates to pasts posts about affiliate programs and Internet scams which I reviewed. However, it’s time to get back to uncovering more Internet money making scams, rather than giving undue attention to particular programs.

Most of my previous requests were for PTR sites, all of which have turned out to be scams. While I am happy to uncover more scam programs I would like to review more affiliate programs and really find some useful programs for you to make money from.

    What I offer
This site was recently accepted by ReviewMe, giving me the ‘power’ to change a whopping $40 per review, but I am still offering free reviews!.

Anyone can request a free review!

    - You may be an active affiliate looking to make earnings from referrals. I will gladly sign up through your affiliate link. If the affiliate program makes it to my recommended affiliate programs section you could make ’second tier’ referral earnings (providing your program has a 2 tier referral program).

    - You may be the owner of a young affiliate program that needs a boost to get started.

    - Maybe you need a common misconception about your site being an Internet scam to be dispelled?

    - Maybe you are just curious about affiliate programs and feel like suggesting a few programs for me to review.

    - Maybe you know a site to be an internet money making scam and want me to write a review warning people away from it.

What have you got to lose! You can use my contact form to suggest a site for review, but be sure to have a read through the past reviews to check I haven’t already reviewed it.

    A quick reminder
You can vote for me at Bloggers Choice Awards and/or Add me to your Technorati Favorites.

  • New Categories!

I finally reached the stage where there are too many reviews to have them sprawling down the sidebar. I decided to re-organise them into 7 precise categories. This should make it easier for both readers and for the web crawlers and improve search engine rankings

I will soon add numbers, so you can see how many posts there in each category. I am hoping this will encourage readers to delve deeper in the site and spend more time here, rather than being overwhelmed by a great long list of links.

It will be interesting to see how this change affects this sites positioning in Google. I await the changes in eager anticipation!

What are your opinions about the new categories? Are they easy to navigate? Do they encourage you to read more?

    - 5 lines in italics at the top of the post where you can introduce yourself and include a total of 2 links!
    - This site now has a Google Page Rank of 4! so the links to your site have a real instant value!

    What else will you get?
    - You can start to create a name for yourself in this niche
    - Social bookmarking benefits
    - My gratitude and friendship!

  • Internet Scams

    internet-scams affiliate programs

So far Affiliate Programs and internet scams has uncovered several Internet money making Scams. I am very happy about this because it is one of the most useful things a site can do. More and more people are trying to make money with affiliate programs and as a result Internet scams are increasing in number at an exponential rate.

Most of the sites found to be Internet money making scams have been PTR (paid to read) email sites. It appears that they are the often the first port of call for people out to make money online. I have been trying to figure out why people are so attracted to them:

    1. They promise instant riches.

    2. They require little/no skill. You don’t even have to read the e-mails you are sent, as long as you click the link in them you will earn (providing you find a paying PTR site); yet alone learning HTML coding and develop the writing skills needed for blogging.

    3. There are a lot of them!. A Google search for ‘paid to read email’ produces over 53million results. Of course many of those sites will be blogs writing about PTR; but there are many other keyword search phrases that can be used to find PTR sites.

    4. There are AdSence Ads everywhere for them, which almost always boast about how you can make a very big sum of money. Less ‘web savvy’ Internet users are more prone to click on AdSence and perhaps are more naive? (can I say that? lol)

    5. I get more requests to review PTR scam sites than real PTR sites because people are not stupid and want reviews of sites they are unsure of.

Those are just a few reasons why people seem to be so attracted to PTR Internet scams. In a few more weeks, once the list of categories (on the left) runs too far down the page I will re-order it all and there will be a category containing all the PTR Internet scams that I have uncovered. Providing I find some genuine PTR sites (which I haven’t yet!) there will be a category for them too.

For some of the sites I’ve reviewed there is still an uncertain verdict. I would steer clear of these sites until there is stronger evidence for their guilt/innocence.

You may have noticed recently there has not always been a review each day. This is because I have started to receive more review requests but I want to keep the standard of my reviews as high as possible. Managing each request takes time (which I am happy to give) because I like to respond individually to every request and take time to have a look at the blog of the ‘requester’ (if they have one). Don’t let this put you off asking for a review! If you are unsure about a site I would love too show it up for the Internet scam it is or praise it to high heaven if it deserves it!

  • Affiliate Programs

As you should know by the sites description, Affiliate Programs and Internet Scams is “A Guide to Affiliate Programs Scams. Scam or Not? Want to know if something is a scam? Just ask! I will research it and post my conclusion within 48 hours!”; this site needs your requests to live.

I have had experiences with numerous affiliate money making programs and I write the odd post here and there about those affiliate programs. However, as a site that is meant to help its readers avoid the affiliate programs scams and to find a site that is a top paying affiliate program.

The best way to achieve this is for it to cover a wide range of affiliate programs, which can be ensured by the contribution of suggested affiliate programs by different people from all over the world.

To suggest an affiliate program you want me to review just send me an email at:

    mattjones@affiliatescamguide.com

Alternatively you can post your suggested affiliate program as a comment, however, I will receive emails fist and because I work on a ‘first come first sever’ basis those who email get priority.

Tomorrow the ’scam or not’ reviews of affiliate programs will continue as usual, hopefully this post will encourage you to suggest some affiliate programs. Don’t worry, I’m not expecting you to be dying to find out if an affiliate program is a scam or not, but any affiliate programs you have come across and never got round to joining shoot me an email.

    Matt Jones
