I have been a member of Text Link Ads affiliate program for some time so it’s about time I reviewed them. Don’t let that fool you into thinking this review will be biased in their favour; if anything it will be fairer because I have had longer to experience their affiliate program.

What is Text Link Ads?
This is how they describe themselves:

Text Link Ads is the premier targeted traffic and link popularity ad firm. We specialize in placing static html links on high quality, high traffic web properties. Our clients have seen a dramatic increase in targeted traffic, brand exposure, and organic search engine rankings with our service.

In other words, publishers enter their site and join the 1000s of other publishers in their ‘database’. Advertisers browse the Text Link Ads ‘database’ until they find a publishers website they want to buy a text link. They then purchase it for one month at the price set for that site by Text Link Ads.

How are the Text link ads priced?

Text Link Ads are priced at a flat rate per month per link. You prepay for a 30 day run of your ad. Your ad will never be turned off if it gets too many impressions or clicks. Our pricing algorithm factors in a websites: traffic, theme, ad position, and link popularity when setting the flat ad rate per month.

Publishers can use the Text link ads calculator to see how much a link of their site will make them.

The affiliate program
For every accepted advertiser or publisher you refer you earn a flat payment of $25. I stress ‘accepted’ because there are high standards to get in. As a publisher your site must have a Google Page Rank of at least 4 and you must receive a certain amount of traffic. This may be ‘bad’ for publishers but it keeps the advertisers happy because they can rest assured they are buying links from worthy sites.

The final positive about them is advertisers get a free $100 starter coupon when they place their first order for $125 worth of Text Link Ads. There isn’t really much to say about this… its $100!

I am very aware I am saying all this without any negative criticism, but this is because Text Link Ads have proven themselves to me. Conclusion
It should seem pretty obvious to you that I am a bit of a Text Link Ads fanboy. If you must have a bad thing about them it is that they are basically ‘middlemen’ and take a cut of the payment. This means you could potentially be earning more if you independent go around finding advertisers yourself, but this is very time consuming. After all, bad breath is better than no breath as Garry Conn always says. Anyone can join their affiliate program even if you are rejected by their publisher program. For all of the above reasons Text Link Ads has made it into my recommended affiliate programs section!
