affiliate-money-making-program1.pngI have seen myHelpHub being mentioned in a few places round the web. It appears to have a good reputation, but is it an affiliate money making program that pays top level commissions?

WCCL Network are “The company behind myHelpHub“. WCCL “promotes self-development tools, Windows utilities, and products for writers and artists, through an exciting network of affiliated sites”. I thought that sounds pretty waffley, but it’s the myHelpHub affiliate program that we are interested in.

What is myHelpHub?
myHelpHub is the affiliate program which uses affiliates to sell support products (e.g. Spyware protection) from the sites that are in the WCCL Network.

The key difference to myHelpHub from ‘normal’ affiliate money making programs is that the products they sell are all to do with helping people, be it online, with for example, the Stop My Popups program; or help in the form of Relaxation CD’s.

There are a respectable number of products and they are all listed here. Some of the smaller categories, for for example UK Driving Products, there are only 4 products available, which could be a problem if you were planning on building a website to sell the only the products in that category. However, there are larger categories like the Privacy Tools one which currently contains 12 products.

Referrals
If you don’t actually want to sell products, but would like to promote the myHelpHub affiliate program you earn 5% of all referred affiliates earnings. This is of course better than nothing, but not enough on its own. For myHelpHub to be lucrative enough actually selling the products is required!

The downside of referring people is that you cannot refer them to myHelpHub itself, they have to become an affiliate for your specific chosen product.

If you refer ‘a friend’ to a site in the WCCL netowork you can win an ipod, although I am unsure of the use of this. If you are referring a friend to a site, where they may buy a product isn’t it better to become a normal affiliate and take the cash earnings instead?

Payment
Nevertheless, myHelpHup have no minimum payout and pay via PayPal, although you do have to wait 35 days. They also pay “up to 50% commission on every single purchase”. There is no table of commission rates on their website, but a 50% maximum commission is pretty high (on Amazon.com the maximum commission rate is only 8.5%!).

Conclusion
I am impressed by myHelpHub. Everything about their site says they are a great affiliate money making program. In addition their products are ‘help oriented’ which can only be a good thing (I’m talking morally!). The only reason they have not made it to my recommended affiliate programs section is that you can’t ‘bulk sell’ lots of different products. You sign up as an affiliate for a single product and so cannot easily create a website selling for example different types of Virus protection software. Just because they didn’t make it into my recommended affiliate programs section doesn’t mean they aren’t worth checking out if you are interested!
